Tizom
DESCRIPTION
Tizom, which is a combination of Halosulfuron Methyl (6%) and Metribuzin (50%) in the form of a water-dispersible granule (WG), is a selective and systemic herbicide for sugarcane crops. It is formulated to control a range of weeds, including major broadleaf weeds, narrowleaf weeds, and Cyperus rotundus.
MODE OF ACTION
Excellent translocation activity through it dual mode of action, moves both acropetally and basipetally through the xylem and phloem. Inhibits acetolactate synthase (ALS), which is the first enzyme in the biosynthetic pathway of the essential branched chain amino acids (Valine, leucine & isoleucine). It acts by inhibiting photosynthesis by disrupting photosystem II.
